When the EvoLisa project was a viral hit in the science community in 2009, showing that a picture could "evolve" into the Mona Lisa, I took issue with the methodology and made a Python project to explore what I thought the project should have been like. See my blog post about this project, or go check out the source code. Coded over about two months, using Pygame.
I haven't yet released any of my most recent experiments, but I've been a hobbyist game dev for as long as I've been able to type. My first project was likely in GW-Basic on my Tandy 1000 EX, being a simple turn based resource management game. I've worked on RPGs, platformers, puzzle games, and tools for game makers, and maybe one day I'll even release the above-pictured Word Woods, which I'm working on in Godot.
Part of pursuing indie game dev involves figuring out how to Do An Art. I've done some 3d modeling using Blender, like the above Evil Uno which I modded into AEW: Fight Forever, painted in Adobe Substance Painter; and on the right is Dorothy, the main character for the game I really, really want to make... eventually. I'm also doing music for my games using LMMS (although calling my results "music" might be a bit of a stretch at the moment).
